Scans advanced filter

The Advanced filter allows you to quickly and easily filter, group, and sort your scan listings in the Scans view.

To open the Advanced filter dialog and create a filter:

  1. Click Main Menu ().
  2. Click the Scans link.
  3. When Scans view opens, click the Filters menu () or the Filters menu text.
  4. Click the Advanced filter link.
  5. When the Scans advanced filters dialog opens, select the desired filters by clicking a filter dropdown or radio button.

    Note: Some filters allow you to select multiple options from the dropdown.

    Note: To remove an option from a filter, click X next to the filter option.
  6. Click on the Group and sort button to view the grouping and sorting options.

    Note: You can click the Filter and Group and sort buttons to switch between those options.
  7. Select Grouping and sorting options:
    1. Choose a Sort by option.
    2. Choose an order option, based on date (Oldest to newest or Newest to oldest) or alphabetical order (Ascending or Descending).
    3. Choose a Group by option.
    4. Choose an order option.

      Note: Some Group by options allow you to choose a Then by option, which further organizes each Group by another option with another grouping option.
  8. Click Apply filter.

    Note: The advanced filter takes effect once you click the Apply filter button. The settings remain within the Advanced filter dialog until you change them or sign out of the Sporecyte application.

Status

Choose an option from the dropdown menu. You may choose multiple options.

Accession

Choose Any or Unassigned by clicking the radio button for the appropriate option.

Sample type

Choose an option from the dropdown menu. You may choose multiple options.

Scan link history

Choose Scan never linked or Scan is either linked or has been removed.

Client

Choose “Unassigned” or a specific client from the dropdown.

Tag

Enter one or more tags for which you wish to filter.

Group and sort options

The Scans advanced Filter dialog lets you choose Sort by and Group by options. You can select only a sorting option or choose both sorting and grouping option

Sort by options

Element

Description

Label

Sort the results by the scan label of the available scans.

Created at

Sort the results by when the scan was created/uploaded.

Batch ID

The ID for the batch of tests run.

Accession

Sort the results by the name of the available accessions.

Tag

Sort the results by tags.

Sorting order

Each Sort by option can be ordered either by date (Newest to oldest or Oldest to newest) or alphabetically (A to Z or Z to A). Click the radio button for the order option you wish to use.

Group the results by the name of the available patients.

Group the results by the available sample types.

Status

Group the results by status.

Tag

Group the results by tags. You may enter one or more tags as the sorting criteria.

Then by options

Some Group by options allow you to choose a Then by option, which further organizes each Group by another option with another grouping option.

Collapsing and expanding groups

Once scans are grouped, you can collapse or expand a group. Collapsing and expanding groups is a feature that allows you to view more or less information as needed.

To collapse or expand a group, click the arrow on the right side of its title bar.

Collapse all or expand all

To collapse or expand all groups, press Shift + click on the arrow on the left side of any of the group’s title bars.
