Linking, unlinking, and deleting a scan

Unlinking a scan

To unlink a scan, starting from Worklist:

  1. Click Details () for a case or scan (for scan workflows).
  2. Click Unlink () for the selected scan.

    Note: An unlinked scan can always be found on the Scans view or as one of the available scans when the Link Scan button is clicked.

Deleting a scan

To delete a scan, starting from Worklist:

  1. Click Details (), Duplicate scans (), or Missing Scan () for the selected case.
  2. When Details view opens, click Delete () for a scan.
  3. When the Delete scan confirmation dialog opens, click Yes.

or

  1. From the Scans view, click Orphan scan () for a scan.
  2. When Details view opens, click the Delete scan button.
  3. When the Delete Scan confirmation dialog opens, click Yes.

Important: You should consider unlinking a scan rather than deleting it unless you are sure you want to delete it.

Creating a case

If a scan flagged as an orphaned scan () does not have an available case to associate with, you can create a case with the Sporecyte application.

To create a case for an orphaned scan from Scans view:

  1. Click Orphan Scan () for a scan.
  2. When Details view opens, click the Create case button.
  3. When the Add Case dialog opens, enter the necessary information.
  4. Click Create.

    Note: The orphan scan is automatically linked to the new case.

    Important: Clicking Cancel closes the Add Case dialog without creating the case.

Resolving uncategorized scans

The Uncategorized scans section appears on a case’s Details view when Sporecyte determines that a scan may belong to that case. To link a scan that appears in the Uncategorized scans section:

  1. Click Details () for a case.
  2. When Details view opens, scroll down to the Uncategorized scans section.
  3. Click the drag icon for a scan, and drag and drop the scan on the correct details section.
  4. The scan is now linked to the case.
